Rica Salario
My story didn't start with a camera, it started with a laptop and an obsession.
In 2007, I discovered the world of digital editing. I was a Photoshop CS3 kid, spending hours grabbing images from the internet and twisting them into something new. But eventually, I hit a wall. I couldn't find the images that matched the wild ideas in my head.
The solution?
I’d take the photos myself.
I started small, using my sisters as models, then my neighbors, then friends of friends. I became the "go-to" person for every birthday and celebration. Often, I wasn't even getting paid, but I didn't care. The high of capturing a moment and then refining it at my desk was enough.

2011
I moved to Dubai
Even though my first job wasn't behind a lens, I never stopped chasing the vision. That persistence paid off when I landed a role in Fashion E-commerce. Suddenly, my late-night passion became my daily profession. It was, quite literally, the dream job.
2022
It was time to build something of my own. I went independent and founded Tribu Kreative, a family-owned agency. My family is just as deep into this industry as I am, making our work a true collaboration of talent and heart.

Gratitude & Connection
To those who shaped my vision, no creative journey is walked alone. I am deeply grateful to the exceptional mentors and creative individuals who shared their wisdom when I was just starting out. Your advice became the foundation of my style.
To the clients who trusted me with their brands, and to the talented teams I’ve collaborated with on set, thank you. You have pushed me to be better, faster, and more creative every single day.

The Science Behind the Art
Photography is about physics of light and the digital alchemy of post-production.
High Frequency Separation
A high-end skin and surface retouching technique used to separate texture from color. This allows for precise "sculpting", correcting highlights and shadows while preserving the original skin pores or material texture. Whether it’s a portrait or a complex commercial product, this ensures the final result looks flawlessly refined, yet entirely natural.
Composite or Photo Manipulation
Combining multiple images into one. This allows to create impossible scenes or perfect environments that cannot be captured in a single frame.
Bracketing Photography
Capturing the same scene at multiple exposure levels. This ensures that every detail, from the brightest highlight to the deepest shadow, is perfectly preserved.
HDR Merging
High Dynamic Range. By merging bracketed shots, you can create images with a range of light that mimics (or surpasses) what the human eye can see.
The Foundation
Understanding the camera’s internal "language", ISO, aperture, and shutter speed, is the first step. Once these fundamentals are mastered, focus on Kelvin for color accuracy and composition using available natural light. Mastering these elements provides the necessary baseline to move into artificial studio lighting, where we learn to balance light intensity, warmth, and coolness. It is a continuous, daily learning process that forms the core of professional photography.
